Baked Rice (Pilaf)
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp Butter
- 2 Cups Water
- 1 Cup White Rice or Brown Rice
- 1/4 tsp Salt (leave out if using salted chicken broth or chicken bullion)
Pilaf
- 1/2 onion chopped fine
- 1 1/2 carrots chopped fine
- 1 tsp parsley
- 2 1/2 tsp Chicken Bullion
Directions
- Melt butter in oven safe pot.
- Sautee carrot and onion for 3-5 minutes.
- Add rice, stir to coat.
- Add water/broth, cover and bring to a boil.
- Bake covered at 350 for 20-25 minutes for white rice or bake 60-75 minutes for brown rice.
Notes
- Use chicken broth instead of water for pilaf.
